Last week our team received unanimous support from The City of Trinity Texas to use the name ‘Trinity’ in the title, The Beast of Trinity Texas. Pictured above is our producer holding a picture of our very first artistic rendition of ‘The Beast’ by artist Lynn Peverill.
The council members and our team acknowledged that we did not need approval for use of the name, but we explained that from the very beginning, we decided to request the blessing from the City of Trinity’s leaders before making the name official.
So today, we are making it official!
THE BEAST OF TRINITY TEXAS (is coming).
Since our first trip to Trinity County Texas, we have received nothing but excitement and support from amazing people for our project, so we are saying thanks to everyone we’ve met so far, with a few special shout-outs below. We hope to meet you too, soon.
During our meeting with Trinity County Sheriff Wally Wallace, we shared that a few of the main characters in The Beast of Trinity Texas are Sheriff Titus Ridge and Deputy Miles Deveraux.
Our team’s desire is to be as authentic as possible. The Sheriff’s Office was extremely gracious. They told us a few stories about the town’s history and answered the questions we needed filled for pre-production.
Sheriff Wallace and Chief Carroll helped us document our first meeting with the leaders of Groveton by joining us for a picture.
One of our very first location requests went to Connie Due, longtime resident and owner of County Seat Cafe. We explained we needed a nice Country Cafe for a scene in our film, and after spending some time with our team, she agreed.
Connie has been a great ally ever since, helping find film locations and making key introductions.

Congratulations! As a local, I know we are all very excited to hear the news and look forward to the next update. Thanks!
